Post Clarification before the session starts!!!!!! Reply with quote
Hey Admin I was just wondering if you could clarify as clear as possible the rule about playing with numbers short.

ie, You show up with 5 girls and 2 guys? the question has been asked a thousand times but has never been added to the actual rules. Last winter session my team played a team who confirmed with the referee that they could then play 2 guys and 4 girls. A quick post to clear this before the session begins would be great!

If they do show with these numbers do they play with 2 guys, 3 girls or do they have to play even(2 guys, 2 girls)?

What if the sex is different 3 guys, 2 girls?

The rules mention nothing about this the last time I checked.....

Coed teams will play 7 a-side including the keeper. The 6 non-keeper positions must be occupied by 3 males and 3 females. Coed teams that are short players of one gender may not make of the difference by adding players of the other gender.

The wrinkle becomes if 3 girls show up and 8 guys and one of the girls happens to be the keeper. The team would play
Keeper = girl
2 girl players and 3 boy players. They are short. The alternative would be to stick one of the guys in goal and then the girl keeper could become the 3rd girl out player.

Does it really matter, Deek85? We've seen your roster and you could play 8 men out and 6 women out and you'll still get hammered. marameo

Thanks for clearing that mess up. make sure the referees know.lol

As for the other comment, I know you ain't serious! Your whole league policy is that you are put in a division that is at your calibre, if you really thought we were getting hammered then why would we be put in division A when the two teams in the final last year plus two or three with the same calibre team didn't come with us? Don't worry, I ain't bitter - Looking forward to the challenge.

Disappointed we still don't get a chance to play last years sneak in champs!lol

Just remember folks...I get to see rosters BEFORE anyone ever kicks a ball...much easier for proper placement. At least, in theory.

As for why you ended up in "A" Deek85, there was no division D and B and C were full.
